Symphony of non-patterns (2016)

Intrigued by the aesthetics of technological translation and pulled toward a basic conflict in human desire between the wish for control and the relinquishing of control, I’ve been operating at the delicate intersections of sense and sentient, abstraction and intuition. By experimenting with techniques of reproduction, I’m aiming to produce multilayered works that explore poetically the relationship between human being and technology, original and copy, transmission and translation.

The process of photocopying provides a creative frame insofar as it also lends itself to be deconstructed and abandoned, allowing the intertwining of these contradictory conditions of creativity to generate new and spontaneous shapes and forms of representation.
